How often do I need to wax my cutting board?
Each of our cutting boards are cured with Walrus oil and wax. You should reapply food safe wax every 1-2 months for heavily used boards or as needed when the wood appears dry.
Is my cutting board dishwasher safe?
Our Cutting boards is not dishwasher safe. We recommend hand wash only with warm soapy water after each use. Wipe with a towel and let air dry completely before storing. Also, remember not to soak in water for prolonged periods of time.
Can I use my cutting board to cut meat.
Yes, we recommend using the non engraved side to cut. Just make sure to wash it thoroughly after. For food safety reasons, we recommend having a separate cutting board, designated for cutting raw meat, poultry or fish
Is the Walrus oil on the board and wax food safe and where can I find it?
Food safe Walrus oil is used to treat wooden cutting boards and utensils. It is used to keep the wood from cracking and drying out. It can be purchased from our store.
